Liverpool – Steven Gerrard has won almost every trophy for strengthening Liverpool. The only trophy that has not she got was the Premier League trophy, which will make it go away from the Reds with regret.
Since diving first team debut in Liverpool on November 29, 1998, Gerrard has appeared on more than 700 games with the club. For about 17 years in uniform Liverpool, he has won ten trophies in various competitions.
Gerrard has won two FA Cups, three League Cups, one Champions League, one UEFA Cup, two European Super Cups and a Community Shield titles.
Yes, Gerrard was never able to bring Liverpool won the league. He could only drove his team three times a runner-up, ie in the season 2001/2002, 2008/2009, and 2013/2014. Liverpool itself last time league champion in the 1989/1990 season when the Premier League era has not yet begun.
“I saw it with pride. I am very proud of what I achieved here. All the trophies I have won and all the wonderful memories I have,” Gerrard said in a press conference at Melwood on Thursday (05/14/2015).
“Of course not won the Premier League would be a shortage in it. There’s nothing I can do about it now. It certainly will be regret that I take it away,” he said.
“But, I have to see the bigger picture. Growing up as a kid, dreamed of playing for Liverpool once, and now I am sitting here with 708 appearances,” said the 34-year-old midfielder.
“I won a lot more than I thought at first,” Gerrard said as quoted by the Daily Mail.
Gerrard will leave Liverpool this summer when his contract runs out. He will then join the Los Angeles Galaxy.
