Milan – A draw against Chievo make allenatore Inter Milan, Roberto Mancini, disappointed. He also was not satisfied with his team’s poor shot accuracy.
Host Chievo at the Giuseppe Meazza, Sunday (03/05/2015) night, Inter failed to gain full points. The Nerazzurri had to settle for an additional one point after being held 0-0 by the visitors.
Throughout the match, Inter appeared dominant with around 72% ball possession. However, despite many attempts to release the score, no one can afford Chievo goalkeeper.
Inter recorded 24 attempts to release throughout the 90 minutes of the match. But of much effort, only four are led to the goal.
These results Inter hamper efforts to approach the European zone. Mauro Icardi et al. still stuck in eighth with 49 points, three points behind Fiorentina in fifth place.
“We are disappointed because we could have climbed to sixth position today and that is something we want. However, I must say we did everything but score,” Mancini said as quoted by the official Inter website.
“If you do not make a goal, everything became very difficult in a match like this,” he continued.
“We lacked intensity. We had 24 shots but only four were on target. We are less accurate, but we were superior in ball possession. The only thing lacking was a goal, but that’s what makes the difference in football,” said Mancini.
