London – Tottenham Hotspur win the last home game of the season. Spurs’ 2-0 win over relegation-threatened team, Hull City.
Hull at White Hart Lane on Saturday (16/05/2015), the Spurs had hassles. Their goal repeatedly threatened by the onslaught of Hull, who are trying desperately to stay afloat in the Premier League.
Hull almost went ahead in the 18th minute. They are threatened by the action of Nikica Jelavic, but Jelavic shot only hit the crossbar.
After the first half ended goalless, Hull returned to attack the Spurs at the beginning of the second half. They had some chances, but the effort Jelavic and Michael Dawson did not meet the target.
Spurs were previously depressed can actually break the deadlock in the 54th minute goal by Nacer Chadli. After receiving feedback breakthrough from Erik Lamela, Chadli cleverly past goalkeeper Steve Harper and then struck the ball into the empty net.
Only seven minutes later, Danny Rose Spurs doubled their advantage to 2-0. He escaped the offside trap when it welcomes feedback from Ryan Mason. Rose volley shot from inside the penalty box thrilling goal without being able to reach Harper Hull.
Score 2-0 to win the Spurs did not change until the referee blew the long whistle signaled the end of the game.
This victory returns the Spurs to sixth in the standings with 61 points from 37 games, displacing Southampton to seventh. Hull remained slumped in 18th position with 34 points, two points adrift of Newcastle United is in the safe zone.
