Manchester – Robin van Persie is recovering from his injury, but do not play again for the Manchester United first team. Van Persie had to give evidence to the manager of the ‘Red Devils’, Louis van Gaal.
The last time Van Persie played with Manchester United is in the game against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on February 21. He’s getting an ankle injury in the game and left the stadium on crutches.
Van Persie is now approaching recovery. Dutch striker was a substitute when Manchester United defeated Chelsea 0-1 at Stamford Bridge last weekend. He later appeared with United U-21 in the match against Leicester City on Monday (4/20/2015) ago.
During Van Persie sidelined, Van Gaal Wayne Rooney returns to the front lines and the results were quite positive. This makes Van Persie will not automatically become the primary choice when it fit. He must first prove himself, both for fitness and performance matters.
“He had to practice very hard, playing in the second team,” said Van Gaal.
“He must show his quality again. After that I had to compare him with the positions he could fill, with players who play in that position. Always so anyway,” he said as quoted by Sky Sports.
Van Persie appeared in 27 games with Manchester United this season. He contributed 10 goals and three assists for his team.
