London – Tottenham Hotspur have to go home empty-handed from the headquarters of Chelsea. If the players the Lilywhites did not waste the opportunity, it is quite likely there will be a victory in their hands.
Capitalized two consecutive wins in the league, Spurs visited Stamford Bridge in the 14th week, Thursday (04/12/2014) pm dawn, with confidence. They then take the initiative to attack since the early minutes.
Even in the first 10 minutes, the North London forces have three chances to make a goal net. First through header January Vertonghen is still hovering over the crossbar in the 4th minute.
Then in the 7th minute there is a header Harry Kane the crossbar, and five minutes later Kane shot from a narrow angle on the side of the net stretched thin.
Spurs still play well to come Eden Hazard scored in the 19th minute followed Didier Drogba goal three minutes later. Conceded two quick goals makes Spurs giddy and they dominated opponents, until the third goal from Loic Remy was present in the 73rd minute.
Spurs lost three goals without reply and continued poor record at home to Chelsea. Statistics reported that there were a total of 10 shots made the Spurs for 90 minutes, similar to that of Chelsea, but only three were on goal versus eight belonged to Chelsea.
So naturally Pochettino annoyed with the sharpness of his team in the game, because if there was a fruitful one goal then the game will be different results.
“We try to score goals. We try to create a lot of chances but in the second half we got a counter-attack from the opponent. I think we deserved to make a goal, but the score is 3-0. The results were disappointing but this is football and we played against a tough team,” Pochettino said as quoted by Sky Sports.
“Disappointing of course, because I think we started the game very well, but they immediately make a goal of his first chance,” he continued.
“Once we make a mistake again and conceded to 0-2, Chelsea in a more comfortable position and when felt 2-0 was enough, they also play a counter-attack.”
