Rio de Janeiro – Brazil defender Thiago Silva says her disappointment after the previous captain’s armband wrapped around his arm suddenly even have given coach Dunga to Neymar.
According to the 30-year-old defender, both Dunga and Neymar did not tell him that she was no longer the captain of Brazil.
“He never came to me and talked to me,” said Thiago Silva about Neymar.
“I never talked to anyone, it (change the captain) has been done without any discussion. That’s what kept me happy,” he told Brazilian website Globoesporte quoted by Reuters.
Thiago Silva started to become captain of Brazil after the 2010 World Cup. At that time he was appointed by Mano Menezes to replace Lucio.
When Menezes was fired in 2012 and replaced by Luiz Felipe Scolari, Thiago Silva is still believed to be the captain. Players from the club Paris Saint–Germain were also led the team Samba at the 2014 World Cup in his own country.
After replacing Dunga Scolari, the armband was originally handed to Neymar as Thiago Silva injured. But in early September and Dunga ensure that Neymar will continue to bear the armband. Besides armband Thiago Silva, who has now returned to the squad, is also visible from the spot after losing not be an option in a 4-0 win over Turkey last week.
“It seems that I lost my place, they like have taken something from me,” he complained.
